I’m excited for the launch of my first video on Good Friday (18th April). I have big plans for this engine that I found in the workshop. It was given to me by a good friend many years ago who was having a clear out and it was surplus to his requirements. It is clearly incomplete but will it turn over? What secrets are hidden in the cylinders and bottom end?
The Austin A-series engine is a British classic that featured in many cars including the Mini, A30, Morris minor, Sprite, MG Midget, and was even found with a turbo stuck on it in the MG Turbo Metro.

It is also MOT time for one of my MGF’s. There is little chance of a pass. With time against me, how long will the list of faults be, and can I get it through?
We will take a look at what the UK MOT test is, why it is used, and what things are tested.
