About

Driving Passion, Restoring

I’m not a racing driver—far from it. Aside from the occasional track day and a few laps in a go-kart, my experience is pretty limited. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love pushing a car or bike to see what it can do. I’ve owned some exciting and fun cars over the years (though supercars have always been out of reach).

That said, safety is always in the back of my mind. I’ve lost friends, suffered serious injuries myself, and spent years passionately teaching the science behind road safety. I firmly believe we all have a responsibility to ensure our vehicles and driving are as safe as possible. But safe doesn’t have to mean boring.

I’ve been tinkering with cars since my teenage years—mostly out of necessity when I couldn’t afford garage bills. I’ve picked up most of my skills through trial and error or from those generous enough to share their knowledge. I have a decent diagnostic head, but I’m not the most precise with my hands. Left unchecked, that sometimes leads to clever ideas with questionable execution.

Over the years, I’ve owned some seriously fun and interesting cars, including a Land Rover Series III Safari (LWB), Escort Mk1, Rover SD1, MG Midget, Jaguar XJS, Morris Minor Traveller, Land Rover Series III 88″, Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo, Range Rover, Mercedes E-Class, Mitsubishi Shogun, BMW 5 Series, MGF, Datsun, Volvo V70 T5, and Alfa Romeo… to name a few.
